Mountain Valley took a trip back to pre-prohibition New York City when we partnered with the 7th annual NYC Craft Distillers Festival in March. The roaring '20s were in full swing at this immersive one-of-a-kind event featuring specially-selected, premium craft spirits from incredible craft distilleries and rousing entertainment that would impress even Jay Gatsby himself.
Mountain Valley was there pouring our premium spring and sparkling waters to keep things refreshed and bubbly at this day-long speakeasy-style affair at the always stylish Bowery Hotel.
Attendees sampled over 60 craft spirits while a 1920’s style jazz band kept the party lively during this modern Gatsby-era inspired event.
Speaking of prohibition, did you know that our hometown of Hot Springs, Arkansas attracted some notorious visitors over the years, including the infamous Al Capone? During prohibition, Capone would strike moonshine deals and sneak his illegal booze in bottles labeled “Mountain Valley Water.” We can verify that now our iconic green glass bottles are exclusively filled with our award-winning premium spring waters, but it's fun to tip our hat to our notable 150-year history from time to time.
