The holiday season is officially in full swing, and we kicked it off in magnificent fashion at the fourth annual Made South Holiday Market on Friday and Saturday, November 16-17.
The Factory at Franklin, a truly unique entertainment and retail complex played host to this magical event showcasing over one hundred different artisans & makers—giving patrons the opportunity to get a head start on checking off their holiday shopping lists!
Made South is a family owned and operated business creating events that celebrate the best makers, food, drink, music, and art the South has to offer and the charm of southern hospitality, namely, creativity, and friendliness.
For the second year in a row, Mountain Valley Spring Water had the pleasure and honor of acting as a sponsor for the Holiday Market. We had tables set up where we handed out water bottles to make sure that guests stayed properly hydrated and energized to enjoy their experience to the fullest.
We could feel the holiday spirit all around us from the very beginning at the VIP party featuring sample food tastings from local and regional chefs and restaurants, cocktails, live music, and of course, early shopping. Friday’s shopping scene was geared towards smaller crowds, like those looking for something special for date night or girls’ night out.
The fun and festivities didn’t stop on Saturday, as the Holiday Market opened bright and early at 9 am and ran through 5 pm. It included expanded holiday shopping, and like Friday, a selection of mouthwatering food and drink options, and energizing live music.
Shoppers could leave with smiles on their faces knowing that they’re not only getting some unique gifts for their friends and family, but a portion of all the proceeds from the event went to benefit the Holiday Food Box Program at GraceWorks, the local nonprofit community resource center.
The Mountain Valley Spring Water team is thrilled to have sponsored all of the Made South events this year, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year. This experience has given us a deeper appreciation of our Southern roots and of the awe-inspiring work of all the Southern makers who took the time to share their talents with us.
