Recently, the Mountain Valley Spring Water team was in Charleston, South Carolina for Garden & Gun’s Made in the South Weekend. This charming town steeped in history and culture provided the ideal backdrop for a celebration of Southern craftsmanship.
Garden & Gun Magazine, LLC is a lifestyle brand covering the best of the South—from sports to food, to music and art, to literature and ideas. This year marked the Ninth Annual Made in the South Awards, the magazine’s annual hunt for the best Southern-made products in six categories—crafts, food, drink, style, home, and outdoors, and this special weekend was to honor those talented awards finalists.
Mountain Valley Spring Water partnered with Garden & Gun as the official water sponsor for the experience, and it was provided across various events over the two days, including the Friday VIP Meet-and-Greet + Kickoff Concert, the Saturday MITS Marketplace + Meet the Maker, and the Saturday MITS Awards Dinner.
On Friday’s events, you could find Mountain Valley at the Back Porch session with our favorite singer-songwriter and violinist, Amanda Shires, at the Meet-and-Greet Bar, and in the concert green rooms keeping the 700 attendees fresh and hydrated.
On Saturday, the Made in the South Marketplace took place, where attendees got a chance to meet the amazing artisans, & see and sample their award-winning products up close. Mountain Valley was served at the check-in station, at the 3 event bars, and at the dedicated Mountain Valley Spring Water bar.
Finally, the celebration culminated in the Made in the South Awards Dinner with a mouthwatering meal conceived by renowned chef, Asha Gomez, accompanied by live music and cocktails. The 125 people in attendance enjoyed our water during cocktail hour, the dinner itself, and at 2 event bars.
Being in such a creative atmosphere with the most amazing Southern artists and visionaries was a truly inspiring experience, and the Mountain Valley Spring Water crew would love to come back again next year to see what the next generation of talented individuals has to offer. We hope to see you then! If you were at the Made in the South Weekend, we would love to see your pictures!
