Mountain Valley Spring Water and The Peach Truck’s Georgia peaches sourced right from American soil, come together to create Sparkling Peach Sangria.
When Stephen left his native Fort Valley, Georgia to settle in Nashville, Tennessee, he quickly realized there really was no place like home when it came to delicious peaches. Not finding anything to rival the luscious fruit from his family’s orchard back home, Stephen and his wife, Jessica, began bringing his beloved Georgia peaches to Nashville. By 2012, they were selling them by the bagful from their ’64 Jeep Gladiator at various farmers’ markets, and soon after The Peach Truck was born. Chefs, foodies and fruit-lovers alike could savor these just-picked, ready-to-eat gems. Before long, the Peach Truck was delivering to homes and top restaurants across Nashville, including favorites like City House and Margot Café & Bar.
Today we’re helping them celebrate the upcoming peak of peach season, and the launch of their new southern cookbook, The Peach Truck Cookbook: 100 Delicious Recipes for All Things Peach. The cookbook, which Stephen calls a “celebration of summer and the queen of fruit,” is an ode to peaches in all their mouthwatering goodness. The book includes a range of recipes developed by Stephen and Jessica, as well as additions from local chefs like Tandy Wilson, Sean Brock and Lisa Donovan.
Unlike grocery store peaches, The Peach Truck peaches are picked and delivered in just a few days, so you can’t beat the farm-to-table freshness. It’s the taste experience that nature intended, much like the natural American goodness of Mountain Valley Spring Water. Co-founders of The Peach Truck, Stephen and Jessica Rose are big fans of Mountain Valley Spring Sparkling Water, and include a tantalizing sangria recipe in their book that pairs perfectly with the water’s fresh, lightly carbonated taste with their sumptuous peaches. “It has the perfect amount of carbonation, it tastes absolutely pure, and it’s the perfect southern complement to our Georgia peaches,” raves Stephen.
That’s partly due to Mountain Valley Sparkling Water’s natural clean, crisp flavor, which works perfectly with the sweet peach notes. Sourced directly from the American heartland, the water’s delicate carbonation won’t over-power this “crowd favorite,” which Stephen suggests making in batches to serve at summer parties:
