Mountain Valley is proud to embark on a new partnership with our food & wine loving friends at the Texas Food & Wine Alliance in 2021. Born from the long-respected Austin Food & Wine Alliance, The Texas Food & Wine Alliance encompasses the entire state with chapters in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio that are each dedicated to fostering awareness and innovation in Texas culinary communities through grants, educational programming, and events.
We kicked off our partnership at their recent Taco Rumble - the organization's first ever event in San Antonio - at The Espee, an iconic former train station turned community event center. For one spectacular summer evening, 15 of the best taco restaurants from San Antonio and Austin competed with one another for the grand prize.
Mountain Valley and our 100% recyclable aluminum bottles were there to keep the 800+ guests hydrated on a hot Texas night while enjoying the best of taco craftsmanship alongside an impressive selection of wines, craft beers and premium spirit tastings.
Chefs Jaime Hernandez and Pedro Rebello from San Antonio’s La Fonda de Jaime 2.0 took home the championship belt. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the South Texas culinary community.
