Residents in the Boston area are reconsidering an unprecedented Bottled Water Ban after a water main ruptured and cut the supply of potable water to around 2 million people. This occured just 48 hours after residents voted to ban bottled water in an attempt to reduce plastic waste.

The new law will still take effect in January, but residents are second guessing the decision made by the 300 or so people at the town meeting that cated the vote affecting so many other people.
