This from a newspaper that has given a lot of ink to the anti-bottled water crowd! Even more interesting, tomorrow the Natural Resources Defense Council is going after the EPA for lax regulation of atrazine in tap water. This is a long article but a good read. It points out what bottled water people have been saying for a long time: the spikes allowed in contaminants in tap water are a major difference in quality regulations since bottled water has zero tolerance for spikes. In other words, averaging your test results to show compliance is not allowed for bottled water the way it is for tap water.
