Thanks to a Fort Smith, Arkansas consumer who sent me the notice below he received from his local water utility.

The Public Notice highlights a major difference between municipal water and bottled water.  Regulators of bottled water have zero tolerance for bottlers violating contaminant levels of lead and an incident like this would make major headlines and be the lead story in countless television news programs.  Note the Fort Smith Utility says boiling the water and filters won't remove the lead and say it is "okay" to use bottled water.
